Excellent base that’ll fit most home machines and grinders. The knock box is very useful and the whole effect is very classy.

Does it’s job…

At first thought would feel cheap since plastic vs other stainless brands. But looked good with the gaggia classic and the grinder. If you have the grinder, get this base to put it in. Only draw back is you need to empty the knockbox every 2 days or so, otherwise mold grows on the pucks…

Flawed design

The base was touted as a base for the espresso machine and grinder that we bought so we assumed they would work together on our kitchen counter. The specifications did not state whether this could be used on a counter under a cabinet but we could not imagine that it would have been designed without that capability. Our cabinet clearance is standard height but with this base we cannot fit the espresso machine and grinder under the cabinet. It could have been designed to provide the right clearance without sacrificing the quality of the product. The product specifications did not include information on the height of the base. 20″ by 14″ by 14″ are the dimensions stated and they are incorrect. We will have to return it.
