Pack of 5 Premium 14″ x 14″ Non-Stick Dehydrator Sheets

Works!

Some minor creasing during shipment, Hasn’t affected it’s ability to be non-stick. Comparable to the Excalibur’s dehydrator sheets, but not the same…would buy them again. So far everything has been easy to clean off, run under warm water, and wipe in one direction holding down edge to prevent more creasing. Excalibur’s sheets are about the same thickness, but have a smidge more silicone type coating on them, which so far doesn’t seem to make a differance on dry time, “stick-less-ness”, or crease resistance. I gave 4 stars because of how easy they are to crease, that I believe it will lead to decreased “stick-resistance”. I would also give the Exclibur brand 4 stars for same reason.(I have used them 7-8 times each, will try to update if I notice a differance in the next few months)

UPDATE: 3/20/2013

While I haven;t used in past 2 months(due to moving), I have used both brands of sheets equally. Both have held up well to probably another 25-30 uses and washings, plus…

Decent product, decent purchase

These non-stick sheets were a little different from what I was expecting when I ordered them. These sheets are thinner than most non-stick sheets I’ve seen and used, though since they’re sized for a dehydrator it works. Unlike the brand-name product, I probably wouldn’t use these for baking because they’re so flimsy. They do the job, however, and most dried food comes off after dehydrating (the rest comes off after a good soak). Since they’re so flimsy, they’re a bit difficult to clean, but that’s a problem with most non-stick sheets.

These sheets are really best for things like fruit leathers, though due to uneven drying, you need to make sure the puree in the center is thinner than at the edges. Also, unlike wrapping the drying trays in plastic wrap, you can’t quite go all the way to the edges since there’s a miniscule gap through which juices can drip. It’s not so great for drying whole or partial fruits and veggies, since the underside takes longer to dry because…

Must-Have for Dehydrating

If you’re into dehydrating, this is a must-have product. These sheets fit my Excalibur Dehydrator trays perfectly. They also clean very easily. The company sent tips on how to store and clean them, such as rinsing them with water only and storing them in the bottom of the dehydrator. All good ideas. Although, I store mine in the tube they came in, rolled up. The only problem with any non-stick dehydrator sheet is the propensity to crease. Just handle with care and all will be well.

I made fruit leather on them so far and it made flipping the leather mid-way a breeze.
