Works as advertised… & economical too!
I tried to find descaler for my Tassimo in several stores without any success. I ordered online and when it arrived I immediately followed directions to descale my machine. I guess I didn’t follow the directions exactly because at the end of the cleaning cycle the descaling light was still lit. So after reading the directions again and HOLDING the brew button for at least 3 seconds, the descaling cycle began. I filled the reservoir to the Max line and added the descaling solution. It took more than an hour, but the descaling solution cleaned all of the gunk and scaling from the machine’s interior and the dreaded descaling light went out. Beverages taste as good as the day I bought my machine. I’m happy! I use my Tassimo every day so getting a good-tasting cup of coffee is essential to my daughter and me. The 12 packs of descaling solution should last at least a couple of years, so the $$$ I spent is definitely worth it.
Works perfectly
I have a Saeco Vienna Plus automatic machine, and this descaler works perfectly and is easy to use. And buying in bulk cuts the cost and will last a long time.
Saved my $250 coffee maker
I have a Breville YouBrew that is only 3 months old, and alerted me that it required descaling (the water is terribly hard where I live).
I followed Breville’s instructions exactly, using vinegar, and had a useless machine afterwards. I’m guessing that the vinegar loosened the deposits inside the machine, and consolidated them into a single mass that all but completely blocked water flow. On 3 occasions I told the machine to make 12 cups — and after 10 minutes of the machine hissing, coughing, groaning and sweating, I’d end up with 4 cups, at which point the machine would give up.
I was just about to call Breville to ask for a replacement, but decided to give this product a try first — and man was I glad I did!
I used 2 packets, mixed with 60 ounces of water… and immediately saw a massive difference. All of the hissing and sputtering were gone, and on the first round the machine cycled the full 12 cups. I then ran 60 ounces of plain water…
