I bought this product after being somewhat disappointed with the flat beater which came with the Kitchenaid. With the normal flat beater, I was having to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl several times during the mixing process for cakes and biscuits and almost felt let down after having desired my Kitchenaid for years before I could actually afford it!
Well, within seconds of using my new beater blade I felt relief and excitement that the Kitchenaid was finally working as it should. This product scrapes the sides and bottom automatically producing lovely fluffy results. Highly recommended for anyone who bakes a lot.
Make sure you are buying the right model.
From reading various reviews it seems that there is a pattern with many of the low rated reviews. Many are saying that this paddle is shorter than the one which came with their 5-quart Kitchenaid mixer. I’m going to type this in Capitals so that people who are skimming will notice it: IF YOU PURCHASE THIS BEATER AND FIND THAT IT IS AN INCH SHORTER THAN YOUR ORIGINAL BEATER, YOU PURCHASED THE WRONG MODEL. THIS MODEL IS FOR USE IN 5-QUART KITCHENAID STAND MIXERS WITH TILT-HEADS ONLY. 5-QUART BOWL-LIFT MODELS REQUIRE A DIFFERENT VERSION.
Once again, there are two 5-quart beaters available. One is for tilt-head models and the other is for lift-bowl models. Be certain you are buying the correct version.
This Beater Blade Can’t Be Beat
I have used Kitchenaid mixers in my home based cookie business for the past 20 years. I bought this scraper blade this week and now am in the state of shock. Why has this beater blade not been included as STANDARD equipment with the mixer? It does the job that a beater blade should do – quickly incorporates ingredients and eliminates time-wasting by constantly having to stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl. This incredible beater blade has saved me many hours of work in just the past few days that I have been using it. I ordered it on amazon.com and it arrived three days later. Every person who owns a Kitchenaid mixer should petition the company to make this blade standard equipment. It has made the world of difference in the efficient operation of the mixer and my business. Whomever designed this product deserved a gold medal. I hope it lasts for a long long time.
