Purchased for use with my Starbucks Barista machine.

The size fit perfectly in the portafilter basket.

This tamper has a nice weight and a comfortable grip which gives me more control of the tamp.

So this is how it feels to use a "real" tamper! Wow! My husband and I are both thrilled. Solid and heavy metal base with that just-the-right- feel rounded top. Packing the espresso in is effortless. And it fits our 55mm portafilter perfectly. This was a lovely decadence for us!

Was given an espresso maker with no tamper. This one works well. It has a nice weight. Perfect fit. Would definitely recommend.
