Lavazza Top Class Whole Bean Espresso, 2.2-Pound Bag

Great!

Until about a year ago my favorite whole-bean espresso was Green Mountain Organic. They stopped selling that as beans so I searched for a replacement. I wanted something low in caffeine and not expensive. Eventually I learned that Lavazza is the best bargain around and found their Top Class blend to be a very good replacement. Here are my impressions of some of the Lavazza whole-bean espressos:

Pienaroma – high acid, low aroma, fruity, medium roast, mild, low caffeine.

Super Crema – high acid, medium roast, mild, low caffeine.

Grand Espresso – low acid, high aroma, medium roast, spicy finish, high caffeine.

Top Class – moderate acid, aroma, and caffeine; medium/dark roast, spicy finish.
