This beater is just the same as comes as standard with the Artisan mixer. The shipping was prompt and the beater arrived in perfect condition.

Replacement

Bought this to replace original burnished beater that ended up getting ruined in the dishwasher by accident. I understand this coating is to make this dishwasher safe but I think I will avoid that if at all possible. Just in case a mistake occurs and gets run through the dishwasher I feel confident I won’t have to buy another one. As with other commenters make sure you get the correct replacement model or you could be quite frustrated. I cross-referenced this model on the kitchen-aid website to avoid any mistakes and have the right one.
