Kitchen Aid Coated Flat Beater
This item replaces the brushed aluminum flat beater that comes with the Pro 600 model. The OEM brushed beater will get an corroded appearance to it after being placed in the dishwasher that will only come off with steel-wool scrubbing.
The coated beater is easier to clean and has much smoother surfaces than the brushed aluminum beater and as such food does not stick to it in the tiny & microscopic crevices.
(Much easier on the tongue when licking off the cake batter too!)
No More Oxidation
My wife always complained about the beaters that came with her machine because they would oxidize and leave a black film when she would wipe them off.Problem sloved with this coated beater,it came in early and she loves the clean look and clean up.
WHITE COATING STARTED CHIPPING OFF?
We also ran our burnished flat beater through the dishwasher. We didn’t read the directions on the manual. Our fault. So I ordered this coated one from Amazon. After only the 2nd dishwashing (my wife loves to bake and stuff) I noticed a little chip gone from one of the edges and is probably in one of her cookies. I’m sure no one will die from this but what I will do now is take the other person’s advice and steel wool the old burnished one that came with our pro 600 stand mixter and we will be using that one only. We will hand wash it per the instruction manual. You know, our old Kitchen Aid from 1991 still has the original coated blade and shows no signs of wear. We gave that one to our daughter and she loves it. Just goes to show you that most companies are really making their items much cheaper and the quality is far below that of items from 20 yrs ago. Now for you folks that have a coated one, please keep an eye on the edges…..maybe we just got a bad one that didn’t…
