I’ve needed a replacement cuisinart bowl for a very long time. I finally got around to ordering this and could not be happier – it has made all the difference in the world. My cuisinart is 30 years old and the motor is still perfect – thought I’d have to replace the entire thing – but now that I’ve replaced the bowl I hope to have it another 30 years!

Work bowl works well, with a little fix-it

My 1980 Cuisinart 7-cup food processor needed a new work bowl, as the old one was cracked, so I ordered this replacement. At first I had the same problem another customer had: the work bowl did not seat properly on the base. Then I looked at it carefully, got out my husband’s Leatherman metal file, and went to work. The plastic ridges at the bottoms of the 2 cutouts, the cutouts that fit over the base unit protrusions to lock the workbowl on, are too big. If you take a file and file them down bit by bit, you can get them small enough to slide the work bowl onto the base successfully. So a few minutes with the metal file and my work bowl now is terrific! Just so other customers know: you can fix this easily yourself. It will be great to continue to use my Cuisinart for another 32 years, I hope!

Item not as pictured or listed

I should have read the reviews before I ordered. The bowl is amber not clear as listed and pictured. However the buy it now store did give me a $10 refund because of this. The said they do not carry the clear, that Amazon has it listed incorrectly and they can’t control what Amazon writes.

This info needs to be corrected.

Other than the color, it’s the right bowl and works great.
