BUNN 28696 2.15-Liter Push Button Airpot Coffee/Tea Dispenser

great pot, great price with the free shipping!

Works great. It’s a taller than I expected… a bit large for my kitchen counter. We bought it because we found we were throwing out so much coffee and wasting money. The pot has helped keep coffee fresh and hot for several hours, so we aren’t throwing coffee/money down the drain. If you are one to throw out old coffee because it tastes burnt or is cold, the pot will pay for itself in no time. If the coffee drinkers in your household wake up at different hours, this pot is the perfect solution to not having to make another pot.

Just what she wanted

The look on my mother-in-laws face when she saw “Bunn” and “Air Pot” was priceless. Then she figured out what it was and she was pleased. It was exactly what she asked for though she would have never known its actual name if she were to ever order it herself. She has used it several time hence for family and church activities. It is a safe, effective and tasteful (even classy/professional) way to get hot cocoa or coffee from A to B.

Works well

Keeps beverages warm for several hours/most of the day. The pump is a little harder to operate than the lever type. Capacity is exactly what I needed. Item arrived in good condition.

GE Magnetron WB27X10017

Worked for my GE Profile microwave

Bought this and installed it in my GE Profile Spacemaker JVM1660WB microwave after it stopped heating food. Total install took about 2 hours including a thorough cleaning of the inside of the oven. Thing cranks now, just like it did 12 years ago when I bought it.

While you are at it buy the High Voltage diode and replace that just in case that is really the issue. Only costs about $35 more.

Fixed my GE microwave

I bought this Magnetron and a capacitor (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004H3XQ8E/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0) to fix my GE microwave. It stopped heating and made a vibrating sound. These parts fixed it, just like new. I had a handy man install them, since I didn’t have time. Happy to not have to find a replacement that would have to fit in the exact space in the kitchen and pay for a new one.

Works like charm

Worked like a charm to get my built-in microwave up and running again. Saved me a lot of money over buying a new microwave.

Finum 100 Tea Filters, Medium

Winner

Most important: Though nothing is written on that here or on the bags’ package, these bags may be sealed by ironing over their open side. Put the iron on the high-temperature setting.

These bags are large enough to allow for filling them with one to few teaspoons of tea without spilling the tea around. In addition, the size allows for water to sift through the bags unimpeded. We have done blind A/B tests filling a bag and our standard strainer with the same amount of tea, putting those into identical containers, pouring simultaneously the same amount of water, etc. We could not detect a difference between the colors of the brews. The tastes were impossible to distinguish except for one subtlety. The bags seem to take out the far-out bitter end of the flavor spectrum that is present there as just a hint for the strainer. Possibly this subtle effect is associated with some heavier particles in the tea.

The bags lack a string but their size makes it easy to…

Work just fine for a large cup of tea

These are very large filter pouches. I take them to work with enough tea inside to make a 16 oz beverage. They’re very long (meant to be used with a filter stick) so I fold the top down and staple it – not too kosher, I know, but works great for taking to work! Tea leaves tend to swell up when steeped and these filters are large enough to allow for that expansion. And 100 for $5! A good deal.

Perfect for TEA or COFFEE (no paper taste)

JAN 2011:

I compared these to T-SAC (similar).. I am picky about filter taste (because I believe the taste could also be a health concern).. These filters have less paper taste than anything else I have tried.. Paper taste is most noticeable when brewing something delicate like green tea (while coffee or black tea is less affected).. The only annoying thing is about 1/4 of the filters go on the trash same problem with several new packages) because there are little places where the seam is not sealed (in the corners), and coffee grounds get out (only a concern for ground tea/coffee, not for 3 leafs and a bud as many teas are).. I fond the large size perfect for making a cup of coffee.. These are not reusable (not as bad as TP, but they get soft in that direction after use.. probably the price we pay for using a natural material to get rid of the paper taste).

AUG 2010:

I consider myself a coffee and tea snob (I have tried many gadgets and brewing methods)…

My-Kap Reusable 9 Piece Cap Set for K-Cups with Brush

My-Kap works well, but…

…not all of the time.

The caps fit certain pod brands better than others. For example, I have found the CoffeePeople pods work great with the caps, but Green Mountain pods do not, the fit is a little too tight to secure the cap sufficiently. A secure cap is important, especially if you store multiple pods for later use. It is too easy to tip one over and have the contents go everywhere. An unsecured cap will also create a mess when you put the pod into your coffee maker.

I am very happy otherwise with the caps, especially if you prefer a fine grind of coffee. Two problems noted with the competing Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter is that you should use a course grind and that the resulting coffee quality is not as good as that from a finer grind or using an enclosed filter. The My-Kap allows you to overcome both of these problems. I am going to try another competing product,…

Works as advertised

Saw this on a blog about Keurigs and coffee makers and decided to try it after getting the Keurig. It is simple and works pretty well – I found that it helps to flush most of the coffee out of the used cup, then blow into the little hole on the bottom and the filter pops out. You can then rinse it clean more easily. If there are a few specks of coffee left it’s OK. Fill and cap it.

Easy, cost effective with minimal mess!

We bought a Keurig last Christmas. With our busy lifestyles it is very convenient. We also bought one of the Keurig My K-cup reusable filter pods because knowing that k-cups get expensive for one thing, not all brands of coffee offer K-cups and I like to periodically roast my own coffee. Keurig’s reusable My K-cup contraption was a pain in the butt! It was difficult trying to get the piece out of the machine and then really messy clean up, I had coffee grounds everywhere. It defeated the purpose of easy brewing. This was obviously designed to encourage one to continue buying only the expensive K-cups. I started doing some research and decided to try the My-Kap because it seemed to be the least expensive option.

I reused K-cups by removing the lid, stripping out the inner filter, and then washing them. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on miniature K-cup filter (defeats the purpose of trying to save money) so I decided to use regular coffee filters that are so much cheaper (a…

Frigidaire MWTK27KB Microwave Trim Kit, 27-Inch, Black

Very good fit on microwave. Looks good installed.

This kit is plastic, but sturdy, and fits the Frigidaire FGMO205KB Gallery 2.0 Cu. Ft microwave VERY well. Installation was no more difficult than you would expect. The microwave I replaced was probably 20+ years old and sized differently. This kit was BARELY tall enough to cover the old cabinet opening top to bottom. I had to cut the opening 3/8 inch wider for the trim kit to fit. Measure CAREFULLY to make sure it will work in the opening you have. It worked in mine after cutting it a little wider and now looks TERRIFIC!

KitchenAid 5-Quart Glass Bowl

Fabulous Upgrade for a 4.5 qt Mixer as well

I have a 4.5 qt mixer and checked with kitchen aid to see if this 5qt bowl would

fit. They said it would and it arrived yesterday. I made my first cake in it and

was very pleased. The bowl is easy to put on and doesn’t hit the pedestal.

I loved being able to see the ingredients through the bowl. The bowl

looks fabulously swanky on the stand mixer. They bowl is a bit heavy, but

that is minor.

Great Second Bowl!

This is a great second bowl that makes baking go faster when you need 2 bowls for one recipe or multiple baking. It’s microwavable and sturdy. My children love watching the batter mix around through the glass. (I used to have to pick them up to let them peer into the bowl while mixing.)I also did not have to adjust the height of my beater blade (although the manual says you may have to). Thus, I can switch from my stainless steel bowl to my glass bowl without any hassle. The only negative thing I can think of is that this bowl is heavier than the steel bowl, and I have wrist injuries. Nonetheless, I still can use it easily for baking and love it! So I give it 5 stars for fun, easy, practical baking!

Cakes to Go “Doreen”

Love It! Love It! Why didn’t KitchenAid think of this product years ago? The bowl has measurements which makes it easy to see how much batter you actually have for a recipe. The bowl is wide enough to pour ingredients in without the pouring shield. Also, it has a pouring spout! Dough and batter doesn’t stick as much to the bottom of the bowl, less stopping and scraping (yea!) I am impressed with this product so much that I am purchasing another one from Amazon in a few minutes. I haven’t seen this product in any of the major stores yet! Amazon has a great price for this bowl, believe me it is worth every dollar!!!
