The Jura Capresso was not a cheap coffee maker and we will not try a substitute filter. We’ve had our machine for 4 years and with good care (& the use of the Clearyl Blue Filters), it has remained in perfect working conditions with daily use.

My Jura Capresso coffee machine requiares these filters. They aren’t cheap, but they are important to keeping scale out of the machine. I have never had a problem with clooging as long as I am using these and change them regularly, every two months. I just purchase 6 every year, and I have them on hand and ready to install. Amazon is a great resource for locating and purchasing these.

We have no choice because these are the ones that fit our coffee machine, however they are top quality and work well.
