Proctor-Silex 48351 10 Cup Coffeemaker

EXCELLENT COFFEE JAVA

No frills coffee brewer! better then the more expensive coffee brewers! have tried many coffee brewers in the past months! big dissaponitment! if your looking for a super hot java brewer look no further! super hot coffee! bought mine at publix! the box explains it all!

Great inexpensive, simple coffeemaker

I’ve owned a few of these little coffeemakers. We have hard water and our water ends most coffeemaker’s lives shortly. Actually, this little coffeemaker has lasted longer than an expensive Mr. Coffee that we purchased which only lasted a few months. Usually, I purchase these at our local Family Dollar which sells them for $10 plus tax. We’ve had no problems with this keeping the coffee hot, though, I don’t like my coffee scalding hot.

My only gripe with this is that it is only a 10 cup and we cannot find a 12 cup like this one anymore. Also, I’d love to have an automatic timed brew feature, though, I can live without it due to the dirt cheap price of this unit.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this little inexpensive pot, it seems to work well even with my hard water.

Proctor-Silex Coffeemaker …

We purchased this unit to replace a larger one in order to have a bit more counter space, and we’re pleased with that aspect of it. Interestingly, we find that it makes coffee stronger than the previous unit (a Bunn), which I guess is a good thing because we use less coffee grounds. We use one of those reusable filters which could be a factor in the brewing strength. The only negative comment thus far is that it does not keep the coffee hot, which is a bit of an annoyance. When pouring a cup, I immediately microwave it for 30secs to bring it up to the desired temperature.
