Old Dutch 3-Piece Embossed Victoria Canister Set, Antique Pewter

This is a really beautiful set of copper toned canisters. The seal on them is really good for keeping flour, sugar, etc fresh. My only complaint is that one of the canisters was missing the rubber seal, but no big deal, I’ll use that canister for something that doesn’t need sealing like packs of gum or something wrapped. The description never said anything about it having rubber seals, so I assumed it didn’t and wasn’t expecting them, so that was a nice surprise. I absolutely love them and was happy it looked just like the picture!(usually not the case) really high quality!

NOT 25lbs. Overpriced shipping.

First off – The canisters are a perfect size and very beautiful..but..they’re metal. I thought they would be ceramic and i’m not seeing anywhere on the description where it says what they are made of. However, it says the weight is 25lbs and with the shipping being $30+ i assumed they would be ceramic. I was disappointed by that. Other than THAT little snafu..they are great. They have a nice, tight seal. And even though they are metal they seem to be of good quality.

Canister

Was really looking forward to receiving these for our new house – had to ship them back for two reasons – 1) the top pieces were missing from the box and 2) they were chipped. They were metal and the finish is baked onto them and one of the tops was terribly chipped. Was very disappointed. They were beautiful and was hoping they’d be keepers.
