Heineken BT06 BeerTender Tubes, Pack of 6

Why is plastic so expensive??

There must be a monopoly on this product, because the price for these disposable tubes is outrageous. These are one mini keg, and done. Really irritated that I can’t find copy cat product elsewhere. Also, the tubes are longer than they should be, still trying to figure that one out. If you are the only company able to make these cheap plastic tubes, you would think that they would fit perfectly. Not so much.

No need to replace them frequently

I know the “instructions” say you should replace them with every new keg, but what’s the point? They are reusable, and with the alcohol going through them, they are essentially sterile after every pour. They’re easy to remove without damaging them, so I don’t see the need to replace them with every keg. I just wish you could get them with different logo’s on them instead of just the Heineken lable. What if I’m drinking Newcastle… why can’t I get a beer tube with the Newcastle emblem? Seems silly to me that no matter what keg you put in, it says you’re pouring Heineken. Anyway, I’ve use them for at LEAST 5 kegs before I even think about changing them.

beertender tube review

Tubes should be multi use. I realize the optimal preference is for them to be single keg use, however we are living in a lousy economy and I believe that I can tolerate extending the functionality to maybe 2 or 3 kegs. Or I could just stop purchasing the kegs altogether and switch back to the cans and/or bottles. The tubes also need to be more available via my local beer/wine shop instead of strictly via Amazon in case of a last minute decision to purchase a keg and not having beertender tubes available.
