Replacement Jar & Lid

Purchased this, because after long years of use, the original jar got some cracks near where the handle meets the jar, and because the center part of the lid fell through during use and was rendered useless, the baby food I was making also had to be thrown out after that incident! This is exactly the same as the original one, Oster packaging and everything. Best price that I could find on the web.

Good Price

Well, it is what it is, however that is the point. I find the glass jar far too heavy to handle on a fequent basis. Therefore, this plastic jar is great for daily usage and doesn’t affect taste/flavor.

Cheaply made

This is a cheap knockoff that’s of terrible quality. It’s single wall, not double wall, so no ice chipping in it. The lid that came with it didn’t fit, even though it came as a unit. I can buy a whole new Oster blender for what I paid for this replacement jar. I’d send it back, but it costs half again as much as I bought the replacement jar for. I liked the blender I had, which is why I was investing for a new replacement jar. I paid $20+ for the jar, to return it cheapest way is $9.90. I’m out $20 now, so time to cut my losses. Very disappointed.
