Genuine KitchenAid Product
7-Cup Workbowl arrived in a KitchenAid box. It is a genuine KitchenAid product. I purchased it to replace mine that had broken. The handle is delicate and the latches that hold the colored plastic to the clear plastic will break easily if the bowl is forced on the processor. Attach the bowl to the processor first, gently, then attach the top.
Perfect replacement
My original bowl cracked at the handle, sending plastic pieces falling out, and making it impossible to work the food processor. After reading a few other reviews, this seemed like a common occurrence if it was put in the dishwasher (which ours definitely was
). I was so happy to find a replacement bowl since I love the food processor but was opposed to buying an entire new one at this point. This fit perfectly and everything is chopping, dicing, and pureeing again! Hooray!
Handle broke after 6 months
I bought this as a replacement for our work bowl which had a broken handle. That was due to dropping it and putting it in the dishwasher and general mistreatment.
This bowl broke in the same way after only 6 months of gentle, careful use. I think the problem is the construction of the bowl itself. Needless to say, I am looking for a new food processor, perhaps something a little better than a Kitchen Aid.
