Great addition to the Cuisinart
I’m glad I got this instead of a full size blender. It fits easily on the counter, holds a solid amount. I have mostly been making smoothies and shakes.
It’s volume is no louder than any other, and it’s convenience and cleanup is great.
The only possible negative I can say is that because the mixer has a graduated start, it doesn’t have a super powerful “burst” mode like most blenders. However, it does get through ice very well with a subtle pulse in the blender speed as it goes.
Some conts…
Pro’s:
1. Made of a really thick glass – so it’s not gonna be scratched, get stinky etc.
2. Really big one. Can do soup-puree for 2 easily at a time.
Cont’s:
1. Cup is too wide, so when you blend any small amount of smth it splashes all around the cup, not staying at the bottom.
2. Plastic of the top absorbs dyes from the fruits & veggies – which is no good at all.
3. Heavy. Empty cup is around 3 lbs I guess, so you can imagine the full one…
I’m enjoying my new cuisinart blender
I’ve had this blender attachment for a few weeks. Mostly been making margaritas, but also pureeing a few things too. Does a wonderful job. Very convenient. Since my kitchen counter space is limited, I love just having the container without a separate base to store. Incidentally, the mixer is awesome. Much, much better than my Kitchen Aid Artisan for kneading bread.
