Fabulous Upgrade for a 4.5 qt Mixer as well
I have a 4.5 qt mixer and checked with kitchen aid to see if this 5qt bowl would
fit. They said it would and it arrived yesterday. I made my first cake in it and
was very pleased. The bowl is easy to put on and doesn’t hit the pedestal.
I loved being able to see the ingredients through the bowl. The bowl
looks fabulously swanky on the stand mixer. They bowl is a bit heavy, but
that is minor.
Great Second Bowl!
This is a great second bowl that makes baking go faster when you need 2 bowls for one recipe or multiple baking. It’s microwavable and sturdy. My children love watching the batter mix around through the glass. (I used to have to pick them up to let them peer into the bowl while mixing.)I also did not have to adjust the height of my beater blade (although the manual says you may have to). Thus, I can switch from my stainless steel bowl to my glass bowl without any hassle. The only negative thing I can think of is that this bowl is heavier than the steel bowl, and I have wrist injuries. Nonetheless, I still can use it easily for baking and love it! So I give it 5 stars for fun, easy, practical baking!

Love It! Love It! Why didn’t KitchenAid think of this product years ago? The bowl has measurements which makes it easy to see how much batter you actually have for a recipe. The bowl is wide enough to pour ingredients in without the pouring shield. Also, it has a pouring spout! Dough and batter doesn’t stick as much to the bottom of the bowl, less stopping and scraping (yea!) I am impressed with this product so much that I am purchasing another one from Amazon in a few minutes. I haven’t seen this product in any of the major stores yet! Amazon has a great price for this bowl, believe me it is worth every dollar!!!

Perfect fit, but expensive
This istem was exactly as advertised, and fit like it was original equipment. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is the price, but just to be clear it was still the cheepest, when combined with shipping, of any I found. There were slightly cheeper ones out there, but they all make up for it with higher shipping charges. They are all just too expensive for a Pyrex platter.

Considering that I paid well less than half (actually closer to a third) of what the original manufacturer wanted, I consider this a real bargain. It certainly looks like original equipment to me. Why do manufacturers feel like they can rip you off.

Finum Universal Filter, Black
It’s Good, But…
It’s good, but we prefer the Finum large or medium size filters over this one. This unit is a 3 piece assembly–top cover, bottom basket and top extension ring. The bottom basket part is the same size as the LARGE size filter, minus the side “wings”. The top is quite large and bulky, taking up a great deal of storage space. The top extension ring is very wide in diameter. So far, we have been unable to find a pot, mug or thermos that this will fit in due to the large diameter ring. We wanted a filter that would go deeper into our tea pots, but this will not. Also, the ring is attached to the top with two small protrusions or pegs which snap in and slide out. They don’t hold very tightly and don’t seem like they will last long. If they don’t hold, the basket/tea leaves will fall into the pot. Again, this filter is okay, but the other versions are better. Finum Universal Filter Size and Details
I have not actually used this yet, but I wanted to write about the size, because that is what I had questions about. Going to give it 5 stars because I have no reason to doubt its functionality. Many other customers are satisfied, and I expect I will be too. Will update if problems arise.
Like was said before, this thing has 3 parts:
Large sized Finum Filter
An “extender,” which connects to the large filter and increases the diameter so the filter wont fall into the teapot
A cap, which keeps heat inside the teapot and is a nice tray for the filter when you are done
The max diameter of the brim of the top hat “extender” that keeps it from falling into tea pots is about 4.25in.
The diameter of the bottom of the large filter (note: this one has a bottom made of mesh which is nice) is about 2in.
The diameter of the top of the large filter is 2.75in.
The height of the large filter is 3in.
The “extender” adds about 1.25in to the…

this is a good product, it works fine as a camping french press alternative. the wide collar and lid are great additions, used it with a big oversized thermos brand thermal cup from wal mart, worked great. loses a star for draining slowly as the cup fills up but very usable

I bought my Keurig in part because it had the “My K-Cup” option to reuse a filter instead of littering landfills with these little plastic things all year. But as others have noted, the My K-Cup makes terrible coffee because it doesn’t work the same way as a K-Cup.
Enter My-Kap. These hard caps fit easily into rinsed out K-Cups you already have. Just add espresso-grind coffee. Works like a charm. I got the big set so that I can go several days before refilling them all. Different colors allow me to have some decaf set aside for friends. The quality is excellent, and they are easy to use because they are engineered really well to fit into the cups. The tools included make it really easy to get them back out and rinse out the cup for reuse.
So bottom line, I’ll probably add 20 K-Cups to the landfill next year instead of 1,500. And I’ll save several hundred dollars.
Cap-tastic
These caps are pretty cool! Peel the foil tops off used K-cups and empty and clean them out and let them dry. Then fill almost to the top with your favorite ground coffee and press the K-cap in place. Don’t force it too hard. Always check the K-cups as they will split after a few uses. The white cups seem to be weaker than the others. I usually make up a good batch of them and put them in the freezer until use.

I completely agree with Jill’s coments. There are a couple of flavored coffees I love and bought a couple of them 2 days before I received a Keurig coffee maker for my birthday. I saw the aluminum filter kit you could buy but then read some of the reviews and decided against it, A few days later I found My-Kap to reuse K-Kups. Works perfectly and increases your choice of brews. I empty the used, rinse out, dry, fill with my coffees, tap down and put the lid on. I line up the hole in the refilled cup to the prong in the pot vs making a 2nd hole and brew away. I ordered the 3 each of the colors and plan to order either another3 each or get the larger package. P.S. definitely saves money!!!

Must have for great tasting coffee
While these filter keep the coffee maker clean, the coffee tastes better -as the water is filtered and minerals removed. Hard to find filters are easy to buy at Amazon. Other suggestion before you replace the filter, rinse your coffeemaker with baking sode – put about 1 cup in the basket, and run through full 12 cup of brewing. Empty decanter and then run a “rinse cycle” 2x more. This will clean the coffee maker.

This is a replacement work bowl lid for Kitchenaid’s 11-cup food processors, models KFP500, KFP600, KFP650, and KFP670. These models have been discontinued, and parts and accessories for them are no longer available from Kitchenaid. It is a perfect fit on my KFP600, purchased February 2000, and it looks a little more robust than the original lid (thicker plastic). I bought this product after being somewhat disappointed with the flat beater which came with the Kitchenaid. With the normal flat beater, I was having to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl several times during the mixing process for cakes and biscuits and almost felt let down after having desired my Kitchenaid for years before I could actually afford it!

This Beater Blade Can’t Be Beat
I have used Kitchenaid mixers in my home based cookie business for the past 20 years. I bought this scraper blade this week and now am in the state of shock. Why has this beater blade not been included as STANDARD equipment with the mixer? It does the job that a beater blade should do – quickly incorporates ingredients and eliminates time-wasting by constantly having to stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl. This incredible beater blade has saved me many hours of work in just the past few days that I have been using it. I ordered it on amazon.com and it arrived three days later. Not the right filter
This filter is too short for the Capresso Coffee Team GS 464 model. It is not the one shown in the picture.
A grade A product for the coffee machine that either grinds your coffee or that you use ready to use ground coffee.
Works well in the capresso coffee machine, However, it is important to rinse it out after you finished drinking your coffee. It holds up really well if you don’t leave your grinds in it all day.

DeLonghi 12-cup Glass Carafe
A Carafe like most others
I purchased this for my Delonghi coffee maker DCF212T DeLonghi DCF212T Drip Coffeemaker with Convenient Front Access. It’s like most other carafes, although the quality does feel better. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the lid does not come off completely for cleaning. I thought it was a faulty design of my original carafe, and was disappointed to see that the replacement had the same design. I could probably force it off, but with my luck, I’d break off the tabs and have to buy another. Unfortunately, because of the no-drip design of my coffee maker, I’m stuck with this one until it dies.

If you broke your original carafe, this will fix things right up for you. Delivery was quick (only a few days of French pressing to get through).
And the DeLonghi coffee maker this goes with is AWESOME. If you have the time, put it on the “Aroma” setting. Best coffee maker I’ve ever had–and you can pour the water in from the front rather than the top. I don’t understand why more aren’t designed like that.

It’s a recommended Bunn coffee filter for my 10 cup Bunn coffee maker. I recommend using the Bunn coffee filter because of the fast dispersion of water and the cheap coffee filters spill the coffee grinds into the coffee. These are taller and work better for a better cup of coffee.

I never knew there was a difference in the taste of home brewed coffee until I tried a Bunn filter. It does make a fresher tasting cup of coffee. I think it was a great buy too for this brand.

I love this product. I rated it 4 stars because the part that attaches to the beater is plastic and mine did crack.
In all fairness, I used this product A LOT. I have a home baking business and my beater blade got a lot of use. Much more than a normal person that does not bake for a living. I got my money’s worth and then some. So I have to buy another one, so what!
It works great at scraping the bowl. I NEVER have to turn off the mixer to scrape. Now, you cannot use this for extremely heavy doughs. It works great with cake mixes, frosting’s, fillings, cookie etc.
I did also purchase the SIDE SWIPE blade because the part that attaches to the beater is metal. But the fins are EXTREMELY hard to clean off. I mean to get all of your batter off between the blades was difficult. Also the fins are breaking off.
In Conclusion, I WILL be buying another Beater Blade, because of the ease of cleaning off my batter. It is much more user friendly than the…

love it! make sure you adjust the beater height before use
I used this throughout my holiday baking season and beyond. I love it! As others have mentioned, make sure you get the right one (tilt head vs lift; 5 qt v 6 qt; etc, etc….)
ALSO>>>>>__Read the directions__, you will need to ___adjust the height___ for the beater. Read your instruction manual but on tilt head mixers, there is a little screw that you may have never noticed inside the neck of the mixer, you need to turn this as directed to adjust the height to make the new beater reach the bowl correctly, too low and you can damage your mixer and/or blade, too high and you won’t be mixing anything!

Not durable!
I’m a pretty enthusiastic home baker, and had used this product for a little over a year — until it broke. Until then, it was fantastic! Less need for scraping in between additions, and much better overall batter incorporation. But I don’t know that it’s worth the price for such a short-lived product, even for the home baker. It’s certainly not going to hold up to commercial use.

I have had a kitchenaid professional mixer for years and I love it. I really!really! love it NOW! I just purchased the new Metro Design Beater Blade profood service. This blade scrapes the sides and the bottom of the bowl perfectly.The mixing is so through. My batters are perfect with little or now stopping to scrape the sides of the bowl. Thank you to whoever designed this beater,you knew how to make our work easier!I have a small bake business and Kitchenaid is always the first choice for me.
Heavy duty? Time will tell?
We got this one to replace the standard version by this manufacturer after it broke after just one year. This one one seams to be more heavy duty and seams like it might hold up better to thicker batters. However, it seams like if they were to make it out of metal it would be more durable.
We have used this a handful of times… and love it. No more stopping to scrape off the edges of the bowl. In order to get a perfectly smooth cheesecake, you have to make sure everything is blended evenly. This makes sure nothing is stuck to the edges of the bowl. It has yield a perfectly smooth cheese cake.

UPDATE: This product broke after just a few months, just like the non-pro model. I used it for making primarily mashed potatoes and chocolate chip cookies, but the batter was probably too think for it. I will not be purchasing another. KitchenAid Food Processor Work Bowl
This bowl is NOT interchangeable with my food processor
Bought this work bowl to replace my original after being told it is interchageable with my food processor. It is, but only with the steel blade or dough blade. Now I cannot use any of the slicing and grating disks I have. Sure wish I would have known this from the start- I could have just bought a new food processor instead of wasting my money on this….

This fits my who-knows-how-old food processor perfectly. Together with the top that you need to purchase at the same time, it was 1/2 the cost of a new food processor.

What can I say??
I really LOVE this tamper!! I love the build quality and heft for the price, (I ended up getting the stainless steel base for mine). I like that I don’t have to work nearly as hard to tamp my espresso puck anymore and I can get a superior tamp EVERY TIME!!
This, (along with my new grinder), has made my espresso making much more of a joy. I can get awesome crema and a reliable puck every time. I also like the build quality and reliability of this tamper. I had a tamper before that was so light and not very well made, and, WOW, what a difference build quality makes!!! 
The only downside was that I paid almost $75 for this seemingly simple piece of equipment. Espresso Supply 903820 Small Counter Brush, Set of 2
Great dustpan brush
I am using these brushes with a metal dustpan after sweeping up my floors. Although they are a bit on the small side for this purpose, they have nice firm bristles that do a great job sweeping up. The smaller sized brush also fits well in my feminine hand and is very easy to control. Would recommend for a dustpan, on counter tops or the floor.
Small Counter Brushes
I am happy with my purchase, they are a little smaller than I imagined but they serve their intended purpose. We use them in a pizza shop to sweep the bulk of the flour off the counters at the end of the night. Used a lot, if the start to fall apart from high use I will edit this at a later date.

Urnex Cafiza Espresso Machine Cleaning Tablets, 200 Tablets
EFFECTIVE AND INEXPENSIVE
I use this with a Jura Capresso E-9 and have been for several years. Ran out of my 50 tablet and did not want to run out for a while. Does a great cleaning job and will do 4 times the job with one purchase. I will buy again if the E-9 lasts that long.

These cleaning tablets are the same as the Jura Capresso tablets and clean exactly the same. SImply follow the same directions for cleaning your machine but use these instead of the expensive Jura product.

Vitamix Dry Blade Assembly
dry grinding blade
What you need to use your Vitamix for grinding coffee beans or grains. Good, solid construction. Efficient and complete grinding; no problems switching this out with the blade the blender comes with as long as you have Vitamix’s tightening tool. The company does not want you to do this. It is better to buy the dry mix container along with the blade. Costs very little more than the cost of this blade alone and may protect your warranty better.
Too expensive
You might as well buy entire container with blade, its about the same price plus you get container and cookbook. Not sure why anyone would pay so much for this

Capresso 4-Cup Glass Carafe with Lid for 303 Espresso Machine
Three broken!
Three of these glass carafes broke. First time chalk it up to consumer use. Two more times? Clearly a problem with quality. The glass is extremely thin! I now use a small stainless steel frothing pitcher.
EDIT: Flimsy and breaks easily.
I broke my original carafe for the Capresso 303 Espresso Machine (and when I say broke it, I mean I dropped it from the kitchen counter onto the floor, roughly a five foot drop onto a hard surface). I don’t put much stock in other comments about the original or this one being made of flimsy glass, if you drop it from a height – even a small height – most any glass carafe is likely to break.
It’s a perfect replacement for the original carafe that comes with the 303. The lid fits snugly but easily under the filter. Not sure what the other reviewer’s reference to the lid not fitting properly refers to, perhaps the manufacturer has modified the lid since that review. Either way, it’s a perfect fit.
After I dropped and broke the original carafe, I tried a couple different “universal/generic” carafes and found with each a tough fit, a lot of dripping and spillage, and overall poor results. With this carafe, I am now back to being able to enjoy a full serving of…
Perfect Replacement
We love our little Capresso 303 Espresso machine. We use it for travel, because our super automatic doesn’t travel well. Needless to say, this carafe doesn’t travel well either, but the replacement works great and comes with padding that we put in the box with the maker.

Delonghi 7332173800 2 Cup Filter Assembly
OK. For $30.00 US. Why only the small metal cup?
I think this was the first big rip off. For $30.00 I would expect a holder also. Now I will be burning my hands when changing cups.

Urnex Cleancaf Coffee Machine Cleaning Powder .33 oz 9 Packets
Best cleaner I have ever used!
Bought a very expensive European coffee maker ( it is a simple machine with great components) and the manufacturere recommended this cleaner. Once I used all of the somplimentary packets I bought another cleaner made by the same manufacturer (at a local big box store). It was a bust! Went right back to the best cleaner ever. Simoly folow the instructions, and run lots of extra water through the coffee maked to clear everything out once the cleaning has been completed. I wiill use nothins else for my machine. (Technivorm with stainless steel carafe)
Who Knew?
Cleancaf Coffee is amazing. I followed the instructions and could not believe the scale that came out of my new coffee maker. I will be much more vigilant in my cleaning ritual. Used Cleancaf and changed the charcoal filter in my Kitchenaid and its like a new machine with great tasting coffee. Bravo!

Melitta Bamboo Coffee Filters, #2, 80-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)
Sustainable paper filter
I like the idea of a sustainable source filter even if it is only 60% bamboo, better than 0%. The coffee tastes just as good or better as with other non-bleached filters.
Environmentally friendly coffee filters
These operate as one would expect – insert filter into cone, add ground coffee, pour hot water, voila. There is no difference in taste compared to cones made from more traditional materials or bleached cones. When the cost is the same, and there is no difference, why not buy something made (primarily) of sustainable materials?
Best coffee filters ever!
Used to buy a version from a European country and thought those were great. But when the European version stopped making the #1 paper filters, I tried the Melitta Bamboo Coffee Filters and absolutely love them. They do a superb job of removing oils from my freshly ground coffee beans, and enhance my coffee making experience and coffee flavor.

best carafe ever
I first used this carafe when I ordered room service in a hotel. It keeps four cups of tea or other hot beverage really hot all day. I’ve often opened the carafe the next morning, and there’s still some steam coming out of it. I found the Leifheit carafe here on Amazon and have used it every day since. I just love it and highly recommend it to you.
hot tea, great price
Bought this carafe about two weeks ago and have used it every day since then. I drink tea through the day, so I make a lot in the morning and this carafe keeps it hot all day. No joke! It is fantastic, and so efficient to only have to make tea once. My only complaint is that it’s small (8 cups is 8 “european” cups, so about 6oz each maybe?). It’s about four “American” sized mugs–12 oz or so. It also pours well (no drips) and can be set on a tabletop because of it’s well-designed feet. Definitely worth the price.
Great customer service
The carafe keeps coffee warm, as advertised. The design gets a lot of positive feedback in the office. And after the carafe arrived with a broken spout, it was replaced, to my door, within 2 days. The product is good. The customer service was great.

KitchenAid Ravioli Maker Attachment, Chrome.
Easy and Delicious Ravioli
The easiest way to make Ravioli is to buy it in the store. That is what my husband keeps telling me. I got this attachment on Friday and today, Sunday, I made Butternut Squash Ravioli with browned butter sauce with Sage. I read and followed the directions and did not have any problems. Watch Peter Pasta on You Tube demonstrate how to use it. You do not want you dough too wet or too dry. Keep the hopper packed with your filling, not all the way to the top, but make sure you get it in the corners. This will guarantee you will not have air in them. The air causes the raviolis to rupture. You cannot beat the taste of fresh Ravioli. I plan to make crab with cheese, and also I will try to make Pear with Gorgonzola. There is just something about creating your own with fresh ingredients.

My husband, a baker for more than 40 years, and I have used our 3-quart stainless bowl and Combi-Whip for the 6-quart Kitchenaid mixer since the day it arrived! We have mixed pancakes, icings, and small batches of other goodies using this item. My husband, who used mixer bowls up to 140 quarts in his business, loves this small bowl and whip best. It’s efficient, effective, and just the right size!
JUST WHAT I NEEDED
I’ve always wanted a second bowl for my 5qt Pro, but seemed a waste to get another large bowl. This 3qt is the perfect size for small batches and whipping cream and egg whites. Kitchenaid could not have thought up a better addition to their stand mixers.
Also I want to add, I ordered this on Dec. 23rd and I don’t know if seller thought it was a Christmas present or what (it was a present to me) but received on the afternoon of Dec. 24th. Excellent service.

THIS IS PRETTY SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD. ITS A SMALLER MIXING BOWL FOR ADDED EASE IN USING YOUR KITCHENAID MIXER. WE JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT THE PRO 600 AND WHILE THE 6 QUART BOWL IS FABULOUS, AND TRULY WITH THE WHISK TO BOWL CLEARANCE OF MINE AT LEAST YOU COULD BEAT EGGS AND SMALL RECIPES, SO THE 3 QUART BOWL WAS MORE OF A WANT THAN A NEED. THE 6 QUART BOWL ISN’T HEAVEY, SO YOU COULD DO FINE WITH IT. FOR ME I SAW THE ADDED CONVINENCE OF SIMPLY HAVING A SECOND BOWL AND IT SEEMED TO MAKE SENSE THAT IT BE A SMALLER SIZE OTHER THAN HAVING TWO 6 QUARTS. IT WAS MY PREFERENCE.

Rattleware 931050 Group Brush, Drip Guard, Set of 2
Works well, sturdy, easy to clean.
I usually pull 3-4 shots daily, and use this brush after every shot.
These brushes work well, and fit into the grouphead of my machine quite snug, making it easy to do a quick pass and clean any residue, grounds, etc. left from pulling shots. It is sturdy, so I can apply a fair amount of force. The bristles are relatively hard plastic, which is a pretty nice plus for one key reason – you can clean the brush itself. I run it under hot water, a little bit of dish soap, and rub the bristles together. looks like new.
As such, seems to me like the two brushes should last me a very long time – it’s been about a month and one hasn’t been used at all, and the other still looks brand new (once washed).
I’d buy ‘em again, but it doesn’t seem like I’ll need to. My guess is you’ll like them too.
Hi quality group brushes
These brushes are as good as I have purchased locally at the coffee equipment shop or the restaurant supply, and at a lower price. Good stiff bristles.
I like it, but prefer the angled brushes
When I purchased my Rancilio Silvia, I received a free brush that is angled and has a little scoop on the end. When that lost effectiveness I purchased these. It’s a good deal and they feel sturdy and the bristles do not bend as much as the free brush, but I keep burning my hand. It’s probably me, but I think I will purchase only angled brushes in the future. Also, having the scoop for the Cafiza was handy. Can’t really fault the product, it probably works well for others.

32 mm Clear Collagen Sausage Casings
Don’t believe the Negative reviews without trying yourself.
I received my casings today. My first batch of Italian sausage was ready and I was nervous. I wanted to try the natural casings but then the horrible smell issue associated with them gave me reason to try the collagen.
I have a sausage stuffer coming but did not want to wait to with my meat grinder and the attachments I slipped this stuff onto the 1.5″ tube. I put as much as I could and the cut and tied. Not knowing how much I need for 4 lbs of sausage I knew I will get better with time. I knew I could use the casings out of the bag, no soaking or any preparation, you just don’t twist those to form links, you just tie them. I also knew that the sausage had to have enough liquid when mixed (1 cup/4-5 lbs) and the casings had to feel full…. Not stuffed. Stuffed is what causes them to break and that happens when you try to form the links either by twisting then tying or by pinching.
I have not used the natural casings and I understand they do stretch better when that is…

Product was as described and delivered quickly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was there were no instructions on how to prepare the casings. This is my first time manking sausage and I will now have to find that info on the web.All in all though I am very satisfied
A challenge to comment on
Collagen casings. They are reasonably priced. They arrived when promised. I was going to give this 4-stars, not 5. But I changed my mind. Yeah, collagen casings are boring. So I need to rate on service and care. Products arrived promptly on my first order. Second order from the same company produced a veritable fortress of packaging. I got more than just the casings; I got a few taped and boxed layers of items. All my products arrived safely, protected by many layers of packing. Some fine individual was looking out for my product.
Summary: damn fine product and delivery. I’m an Amazon prime buyer. I deviate from that with caution. This deviation produced a second buy. In time, I suspect many other purchases.

While the shape was a little different it still fit the coffeemaker just fine, and it is so nice not to have the water leaking all over the counter. Good job!
Highly functional
For those of us who still use the Senseo coffeemaker, it cuts refill needs in half. It does eventually wear out at the connection over years of use. These things are now very hard to find.
Finally available
I have been looking for a Senseo replacement water tank for a long time. We have two Senseo machines and lost one tank to an accidental droppinng on a tile floor. I feel lucky to have found one and noticed that only two were available We received it yesterday and are using it today. I hope these become available as there are thousands of Senseo machines out here that could use the extra large tank.

Best Yet!
Having tried eco-pads and the Presto, this is the best yet!
Too much water bypasses the coffee with the eco-pads, and they are a PITA to clean by comparison. The water flow is too fast with the Presto, not having the restrictor orifice to slow things down and allow enough contact time with the coffee. Plus you have to buy or make your own filter papers to boot! It’s correct contact time, water temperature and passing the brewed coffee at pressure through an orifice that gives you the good crema, somewhat similar a true espresso maker.
Clean up is quick, if only somewhat more messy than pods, but way more economical in the long run than buying pods or pod filter papers to fill yourself.
The espresso grind French Roast from Peet’s works perfect with the ‘Duck, giving you a brew that looks like Guinness on tap while filling your cup and ending with a fine bubble crema. It’s robust without being bitter. You’ll end up with slightly less brew because the flow rate…
Wow, The only way to go with no mess!!!!!
I have read several reviews before buying this refilable “pod”. Some were messy, some looked like a pain to clean… Yes it’s probably the most expensive one out there, but boy, is it worth it!!! Yes, yes and yes! Now I can use my favorite German coffee (Jacobs, Kronung) in my Senseo, they don’t sell their pods in the usa yet.
It is also very easy to use: put in you senseo, put a tbl spoon of coffee, put the lid on, close the senseo and….. brew! Then just rinse it off in the sink and you’re ready for a new cup :O)
It is true that I only get 3/4 of a mug full with this device, but it doesn’t bother me because I had some creamer and my cup is full!
To sum up:
- easy to use
- easy to clean
- use any of your favorite coffee
- saves tons of money in pods
- No mess!
The best refill option for the Senseo
We began using the Senseo when they first came out in Holland several years ago. The coffee pods were not as expensive there, but I still wanted to be able to use my own coffee, since I home roast. I bought one of the inserts, like the Melitta, to use with my own coffee beans. It worked okay, but occasionally a coffee ground fragment would clog up the pod holder outlet. Evidently some folks have had their boilers explode as a result, if a TV story aired in the UK is to be believed. The newer Senseos have a screen to prevent this kind of failure, but the Coffeeduck doesn’t make use of the Senseo pod holder, so this isn’t an issue in any case. This device is easier to use than the insert, and pretty easy to clean. My wife still prefers the pods, but I like to be able to choose my own coffee, so I use this gadget quite a bit. I would recommend this product if you want to be able to grind your own beans and use them in a Senseo.

Eco-Airpots Lever 2.2 Liter
Going strong after 4 years
I’ve used this airpot daily for 4 years and it still works great. I brew 1.75 liters of coffee each morning directly into this airpot using a #6 plastic manual drip cone and Melitta filter. What I really like is that with one single stroke of the lever I can fill a Grande sized cup full of frothy coffee. I love the froth! The pump mechanism feels very solid even after 4 years of daily use. I also like that the tube that extends into the coffee is metal and not plastic. Many other airpots have plastic tubes, who wants a plastic tube marinating in your coffee for hours. Cleanup is easy as the product comes apart quickly. The hinge on the airpot lid is still very solid. Note the opening at the top of the airport is not-huge so its great for holding a filter cone but requires a steady hand to pour coffee from another container into this airport. Not a problem just FYI. I am buying another of this airpot today for my second home in the mountains. Wish it was on Prime but oh well,…

Keeps Coffee Hot for Hours!
This coffee airpot has simple, classic styling (stainless and black) and keeps coffee hot for hours. The lever function makes pouring a cup of hot coffee quite easy (this is preferred to using the push button top levers, which are more challenging to push).
Took one star away due to the latch / clasp that holds the top on to the base — a couple of times this has become sort of stuck and it’s taken a bit of work to get the unit open for cleaning.
Note that the size is also bigger than I really need for home use. When I brew an entire pot of coffee using the 10-cup Bunn brewer (Model: NHBX-B), the full pot of coffee only fills the airpot a little more than halfway. So ideally, this style of airpot would be available in the right size (smaller for home use). I suspect that the coffee would stay hot even longer if there wasn’t so much empty space when I fill the airpot. Pre-heat the unit with hot water if you want to make the heat last longer.

If you need a small stylish thermos…
this one is good. It fits a melita filter and holds just enough coffee for our household in the morning. No more pouring 1/2 the thermos down the drain. The weighted lid works fine too, although it’s a little tricky to get it once the thermos is empty.

I love this water jug for it’s super chic style. I recommend getting the larger version as this one only holds 2 or 3 glasses of water.

When I make drinks for my guests, which is at least once every week, I like to have tea and coffee brewed and ready at their arrival. To accomplish this I require a variety of vessels that can hold the beverages. Most of my guests prefer herbal tea in the evening so I always have a large carafe of brewed tea sitting on the stove, and one brewing in my tea pot.
Recently I broke my favorite carafe. I selected the “Cuisinart 12 cup Replacement Glass Carafe” to fill my need. I like several features of this item:
- it holds 12 cups and keeps the team warm on low heat
- it has a snaps-on lid, which help prevent the guests from spilling when pouring.
- the carafe, with the lid detached, is easy to clean
- both the carafe and the lid can be washed in the upper rack of my dishwasher.
