caught on fire
Mine caught on fire the first time I used it and burned two holes in it. Placed a medium potato in it for 8 minutes and started smelling smoke at around 7 minutes. It had caought on fire and the inner material liner was glowing red. I have a smaller potato bag I have used for 5 years and liked the results, I bought my original one direct from a former neighbor lady who makes and sells them. I purchased this one through Amazon as she had moved and I wanted a larger one.
It is my ‘guess’ that it was not swewn tight enough and allowed air inside to the filler, don’t know. Can only assume it was “Made in China”. I can see why they have so many colors, as this review will only appear on the Green one. The seller did refund 100% of the cost.

Potato Bag
This makes baking potatoes in the microwave so much easier. I’ve used it for sweet potatoes and corn too with great success. The cooking takes about the same time it would take without the bag – at least in my experience – but quality of the cooked spud is much better.
