Finally…a spot for my random crap

Can I assume that we all have a junk drawer? I hope so, or otherwise this review is going to make me sound like some sort of hoarder…and a messy hoarder at that.

I started many, many years ago with a well-organized junk drawer in the kitchen. That drawer reproduced, seemingly overnight, and we now have junk drawers in the laundry room, master bathroom, and my studio. You would think that with such an abundance of junk drawers, that we’d at least have all of our random crap discreetly out of place. I’m embarrassed to say that you’d be wrong. Over time, our large windowsill over the kitchen sink has become the gathering spot for any number of random things…basically those items that are still sort of “in use” and that we don’t want to disappear into the mess that is a junk drawer. At any given time, there are 6-8 odds and ends…spool of thread w/needle that didn’t make it back down to the sewing room, the dog’s rabies tag that I haven’t affixed to his collar yet,…

Genius in a box

At first glance it looks like a kitschy box found in China town. But upon closer evaluation, one notices the honesty and genius of the box. I have a drawer full of random crap (not literally but figuratively), and I wanted a box to aid in the organization of that drawer. I was trying to justify the expense when I realized that I had a white elephant gift exchange party coming up. The plan was to buy the box under the guise of a white elephant gift. Ultimately, I was able to come home with the gift I brought to the party. Yes! I was elated out of my mind (literally, not figuratively)!

WOW!

This was bought as a gift for my partner. He loved it! The writing on it is so random and funny. Good paint job and has made a nice addition to our collection of metal boxes.
