I purchases this product as a gift for my boyfriend this year. He is a wildland firefighter and is always traveling. He doesn’t have a lot of space in his pack or the time in the mornings to make coffee the conventional way. Since this product is collapsable, it fits perfectly in his pack and can travel with him everywhere he goes! Plus, it’s sillicone, so heat isn’t an issue, it can’t be ruined and makes for easy clean up. He seems very pleased with my purchase, and is the envy of the rest of the crew!
I had to throw it out
This seemed like a practical idea — easy to store or to transport for vacations. But in practice, this turned out to have been a waste of money. No matter how carefully, slowly, or incrementally we poured water into the filter, it would collapse unpredictably. Sometimes it stayed up and sometimes it failed. We tried multiple approaches but, after the last failure, when it collapsed spilling coffee and grounds all over the counter, we just tossed it. I would definitely NOT recommend this product. You shouldn’t have to be strategic about pouring water through a filter for your morning coffee! Nor should you have to hold your breath lest it leave you scooping coffee grounds off the floor…
Good, but not great camping coffee rig.
I have tried a lot of different options for making coffee while camping, and I think this is a pretty good solution, but it needed a little help.
Plus: Packable. It can be tucked into my travel mug with the filters and coffee grounds saving space.
Good insulation, so the coffee stays hot while brewing.

Minus: Can collapse during brewing, sending your precious coffee to the forest floor.
Solution, I whittled two sticks to hold up either side of the cone. Problem solved. If I were the manufacturer, I would include the sticks.
