West Bend Double Loaf Bread Pan, 1-Pound

Amazing time saver

I first purchased the Breadman Ultimate because of the 3 pan sizes but also purchased a used West Bend without the double pans. For several weeks. I ran tests on both bread machines and pans. I like to pit the same recipe from different authors to see which recipe I prefer by using the dual pans. It has saved frustration and cut down on my cookbooks at the same time–more storage!

Amazon was out of stock with this pan but shipped it earlier than stated. I’m glad I purchased it because the Breadman had to be returned since it was defective. Amazon was very cooperative and I learned a lot about the newer machines.

These pans will do more than make bread! Because of the readout controls on the West Bend, I can bake a loaf of bread and an oven casserole at the same time (readout gives the oven temp AND length of bake time. That way the meal is all in one.I use the dough cycle for the bread and when ready to bake, add my casserole to the second pan.

I use…

Double Loaf Bread Pan – love it!

Purchased the West Bend bread machine after my old one died …. and decided on a whim to purchase the 1-lb double loaf pan as well. What a great decision! The one pound loaves are the perfect size. I make 2 different kinds at once – slice them and put them into the freezer (we don’t eat much bread) to eat when ready!

West Bend Bread Pan

First I purchased the WestBend Breadmaker (which I absolutely love) and then I saw the double loaf pan, and had to try it. Although it is a little bit more tedious and requires some watching during the Kneeding Process, since it has only a single paddle on each side, the end result was just a good as the larger loaf pan that came with the breadmaker. I have made several of the breads featured in the recipe booklet that came with the breadmaker, and with the double loaf pan, I can now tweak many of those recipes, make them more wholesome and fiber-rich with little or no sugar added, and by using healthy oils instead of butters/fats. Now I and can easily make two different types of bread/dough at the same time, with each turning out equally good. With the non-stick finish, cleanup is really a breeze. And no matter how many loaves you can bake at a single time, there is nothing that can compare to the aroma of fresh baked bread permeating the entire house!!! You just can’t go wrong…
