Update 1.9 Liter Insulated Carafe (64oz -Black Swirl)

Won’t Stay Hot

This carafe holds alot of fluid, but does not keep it hot very long. I filled it with (almost) boiling water and let it sit for about 20 minutes. I then poured out the water, filled it once again with 200 degree water, and put the cap in place. Six hours later, I poured some of the water out, and it was warm, but not hot. If it were coffee (which is the main reason I bought it), I would have poured the coffee down the drain. This carafe is good for about 2 – 3 hours at best.

What I Was Looking For

I drink a lot of hot tea during the winter, which I make in a great Pyrex kettle that belonged to my grandmother. It gets a bit heavy to pour, and so I was looking for something basic and large to empty the tea into. This container is lightweight and appears reasonably insulated but it’s plastic inside, not glass-lined. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I just received it, so I’ll have to test it throughout the winter. So far, I’m satisfied with both the product and the sender. I’m looking forward to years of good use.

Carafe

Love the color and shape of the carafe. It keeps drinks hot and cold. It looks very pretty when put on the table for easy serving.
