I bought it for KitchenAid replace part, after setup it works fine like now and cheap then you sent back to repair.
Now it Turns, instead of my Head
A few years back, I had pried the planetary cover from the shaft spline and tried to put it back, but it would work its way out. The new part is well made and cheap considering the money I spent on the professional 6 qt model and the attachments. The unit is back in use with the new part. the delivery was prompt. The installation was easy.
Works, fits
I had to rebuild my wife’s KitchenAid stand mixer because it started making clunking sounds. After stripping the mechanism down (thanks to a YouTube video), I traced the problem down to an enlarged hole in the planetary drive shaft which allowed the pinned drive gear to rotate. As long as I had the whole mechanism apart, I went ahead and replaced most of the parts anyway. An easy, but messy job because of all the grease in the case. Make sure you lubricate the planetary gear and the shaft–removie the circlip to get into the shaft. If you should repair yours, the YouTube videos are indispensable. Do make sure you use a food safe grease–not the stuff for your bicycle hub or automotive wheel bearings!!!
