Cafelat Tubbi Knockbox Espresso Grounds Bin

Not really needed

I bought it intending to use it, but find I just bang out my disks into the sink and down the disposal.

Good: Solid plastic as advertised

Bad: Did not really use it

Overall: Prefer using the disposal

Just what we needed.

Just what we needed. While it isn’t something I’d get if I pulled more that 10 shots a day, it is perfect for my morning ritual of two lattes. The size is just right for our crowded countertop – we store it on top of our consumer espresso machine along with cups, a tamper and frothing pitcher. We pull it down when we need it. You get the picture, it’s not huge. The downside of that convienient size is that you do need to pay attention when clearing a puck. Also, I need to stabalilize the bucket with my other hand, but that’s not a big deal for me. That’s about it, as this is far superior to clearing a puck in my trash can and searching for the filter basket after it too is cleared from the handle.

This is not a professional solution, but it is a major improvement. Works as it was designed.

Great for the home

This knockbox is fantastic for my setup at home. The bar is easy to remove and clean and is padded enough for my heavy commercial portafilter. There is a non-scid ring on the bottom that keeps it from scooting across the counter when you use it. Between the properly padded bar and the ring on the bottom this box is remarkably quiet too.

I’ve avoided buying a knockbox until now because others all seem to fall short somewhere. This one doesn’t, I highly recommend it.
